Set/4 Antique 1875-1900 French Sarreguemines Faience Story Plates
Clearly marked with Makers Mark Stamp dating the plate between 1875 - 1900.
This plates measures 8 1/2" across.
There are 4 Plate Designs:
1. Woman & a child feeding there Goat with Chickens, radishes, a lantern and other barnyard objects.
2. A woman and two children dishing in a spot clearly marked NO FISHING.
Multi color transfer on a cream ground.
3. A woman trying on shoes at a shoemaker, fancying herself as Cinderella.
4. a Woman visiting a Public "writer" at the "tomb of secrets, marriage proposals and others"
All four feature a fanciful illustration style and people in period dress.
Charming Details on each oner.
These plates are in excellent condition.
There its some extremely light crazing and a tiny 1/16" glaze chip on one of the sides of a rim.
Colors are bright, plate is glossy, no cracks, no stains or repairs.
There are two holes on the back for easy hanging.
