This 1935 model for Rosieres is a compact hybrid stove that can burn either wood or coal or a combination of both. Fuel is loaded from the front door, or coal can be loaded from the top hatch found under the lid. It was made by the well known manufacturer Rosieres in the Berry from the 1930's, and can be found in their 1933 catalogue. This is medium compact but very heavy stove, and is called a 'poele Flamor by the manufacturers. In good condition, with the quality of casting and enamelling associated with Rosieres. The stove epitomises the best in Art Deco style and design.
