19th CENTURY ROCCO REVIVAL ORNATE GOLD FRAME: Antique Frame Ready To Showcase Your 20" X 16" Oil Painting

Here we have a lovely, ornate, antique wood, gesso and gilt frame. The new reproduction print of an Impressionist painting on foamcore board is included, as we found it, however this gold frame is the perfect period piece for your oil on canvas.

Notes: Please view the numerous, detailed photos for an accurate appraisal of this item's condition. This gorgeous frame was professionally restored at one time. There were many areas where gesso must have been broken off, but was remolded and re-gilded. These areas are a brighter gold than the rest of the frame. Between then and now more damage has occurred. There is a sizable chunk out of top with missing wood, pictured. There are many chips on the outer surround. There are numerous nail holes along the outer edge, where an outer edge of additional trim was attached at one time. This trim piece is missing.

Consistent with age and use.

The outer dimensions of the frame are 27.5 by 23.5. The opening will fit a 20 by 16 painting or print. "
