JUST IN TIME FOR SUMMER we are offering this great 1996 Saab 900SE turbo convertible . . .this is from an estate in Old Lyme, Connecticut . . .the previous owner was an elderly man in his late 80's . . .IT REALLY RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT - 4-Cylinder turbocharged engine . . .with a 5-speed manual transmission . . .this Saab has just 129k original miles VERY LOW FOR A 1996 . . .WORKS OUT TO UNDER 5K MILES PER YEAR . . . . . .overall it is a good running & driving vehicle. . .it has a perfect CarFax report . .and the mileage is guaranteed accurate by CarFax . . NO accidents NO damage NO issues
VERY FUN TO DRIVE . . .ITS VERY QUICK AND WITH THE STANDARD SHIFT TRANSMISSION IT'S SUPER SPORTY
The exterior color is a silvery pewter color and the interior is light beige leather . . .note splits / cracks / wear on interior (also note tears drivers seat bolster) . . .the engine runs perfectly and the car drives very well, the transmission feels good. . .clutch is fine . . .air conditioning is ICE COLD . . .really the only issues I can see are strictly cosmetic
the car comes with all it original keys & fobs - it even has the original "emergency key" in its original plastic. . .(see photos)

a few words about the convertible top . . .IT MUST HAVE BEEN REPLACED INCLUDING ALL THE MECHANICALS - it is in great shape (just needs a scrub) and the hydraulics / mechanism is SMOOTH AS SILK . . .(NO POSSIBLE WAY ITS ORIGINAL) . . .ive owned MANY convertibles . . .after years of use they slow down, moan, groan, creak, strain, whine . . . and you pray the top will go up or down, in fact its the FIRST thing I look at when I am evaluating a car . . .THIS TOP GOES UP AND DOWN SMOOTH AS SILK AND VERY FAST. . . all you do is . . . . .
1) engage the emergency brake
2) flip the two latches above windshield
3) hit the "4 window" switch (all four window raise / lower with the touch of a button)
4) push ROOF switch . . .its all automatic . . you do NOTHING
5) roof lowers into lidded convertible top area
seems like a good car overall . . .please keep in mind this car is not new . . . its an older used car, while this Saab is in overall good condition, you will find some dings, dents, scrapes, scratches, flaws, minor leaks, squeaks, rattles, drips, drops, rust, chips & touch up paint here and there there as well as other flaws & imperfections . . . there are area of crazing / microcracking (hard to photograph) . . there is a crack in the windshield (not in line of view) . . .some of the the pixels are dead on the information display . . . carpets are not great . . .I put some new mats . . .definitely looks better
here are a few other minor items to mention . . .the ABS light is on (probably just needs a sensor) there is no check engine or any other warning lights. the "important" lights are NOT on (oil pressure, engine temperature) . . .also there are several interior plastic bits missing . . .the Saab emblems are faded (typical) . . . . . the type of parts you can find on eBay for a few dollars here and there . . .there are some other interior trim pieces are missing / off (NONE of the interior items im mentioning are serious . . I just have to list them) ZERO accidents on CarFax. . .(there are some other interior flaws) . . .ALL THINGS CONSIDERED - I THINK ITS A NICE CAR !
I HAVE SEVERAL SOURCES FOR INEXPENSIVE SAAB PARTS (both new and used) - look on eBay or Car-Part.com . . . A FANTASTIC PARTS RESOURCE FOR ANY CAR !

As usual I had our tech give it a quick once over, he said he does not see any serious issues. . . . . .overall he said everything looks fine just the obvious cosmetic issues . . . very clean overall, fluids and clean and up to proper levels, belts and hoses are all good, it MIGHT need rear brakes (they were a bit scratchy) but he said they got better as he drove it (might just have been some surface oxidation) . . . I will say the car looks better in photos than in person . . PARTS ARE VERY EASY TO GET . . .SAABS ARE GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND !
