Item Description

High style Art Deco era ca. 1930 MINAUDERIE, a multi-functional two sided vanity case carried by flappers and business women alike. It has an Art Deco aesthetic, with clean lines and geometry coupled with high style. 1st function is a flip-up compact, which looks to be unused. A lipstick tube/ holder is built into the side, and can be lifted out and removed for application. The hinged cigarette holder 'presents' the tobacco when opened, and has a bold wheel-cut pattern. And the best feature . . .a working music box that plays 'Brahm's Lullaby'. The enamel on the compact portion's lid has some crazing [shown], but otherwise in very good condition. Even has the original box.
