A beautiful and mysterious vintage trunk from 1913 made by William Bal. Bal was known as Harry Houdinis Trunk maker. Owner does not officially know the origin of the trunk, but markings on the inside of the lid imply it could have been used for a variety of different things. Possibly medical or apothecary (see pictures) maybe for the late magician himself.
Notes: Incredibly old trunk. Leather handles and the wood have some dry rot. More of a decorative piece.
Consistent with age and use.
