This sofa has been in clients family since the 1930s. It was part of the original furnishings of an 1892 mansion in Chicago. It is remarkably contemporary looking given its age. Stuffed with horsehair.
96 L x 40 D x 29"H. Seat: 16"H.
Condition: Frame is completely solid. Right front leg was broken on the sofa’s last move, and needs to be re-glued and possible dowel repair.. The sofa still sits firmly on that leg. The upholstery (which was redone in the early-2000’s) is in excellent condition, with a very few signs of wear on the bottom cushion. It has almost always been protected by a slipcover.
THIS WILL REQUIRE AT LEAST TWO STRONG MEN TO ASSIST IN REMOVING FROM THE HOME, DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS.
