12 Miniature Early Porcelain Platters 3 Inches Long, 2.1875 Wide And 0.5 Inches Deep. UV Shows Purple Plum Coloration, indicating a high concentration of Bone Ash used in the making of the porcelain.
12 Staffordshire Miniature Plates or Platers from the 18th to early 19th century. White and some with damage to the edges. See photos. Sold as is. The UV image shows a ‘plum’ color when illuminated on nearly all the small platters. This indicates a high concentration of bone ash. Bone ash was traditionally used in England in the 18th century and wasn’t used in other countries until the middle of the 19th century. Nice collection.
