Kamil Kubić (1930-2011) was a listed and well-known international artist active in New York City, known for his cityscapes, street scenes and flowers, who defected from his native Czechoslovakia when the Communists seized power in 1948. He became a master of cityscapes and magnificent flowers commemorating royal weddings and inaugurations. The most rewarding thing I've done as an artist is that I've met so many incredible people," says Kamil Kubik. In 1955, he married British-born prima ballerina Joanna Bowers. They settled in Australia and traveled around the world. He worked in Sidney, San Francisco and New York. His famous artworks are listed in major resource art auctions, such as Ask Art's "55 Wall Street".
