Vintage Chinese Empress Carved Figurine Statue

Appears to be wood but any similar ones online are listed as resin. The bottom has the look and feel of the wood.

In good vintage condition, note that in photo 7 you can see a bit of a crack/split on the chest. It appears that if this is wood, like I believe it to be, that due to lack of moisture in colorado the wood has become dry and now has a small split.
