Louis VI mirror in Rococo style, Created from giltwood. Finely proportioned and richly gilded carved frame, sided by carved flower heads and scrolls. The gilded Rococo style has become in some ways the characteristic French frame. It gives the impression of having kept its worth or its symbolic prestige for a long time, even into the present century.
With its grand proportions and exquisitely carved decor, this French Rococo-style mirror from the late 20th century will be a great focal point in any room, perhaps placed above a console table or chest of drawers. This mirror was sourced from a 17,000 sq ft mansion where it was decorated by a highly notable interior designer. In good condition.
