Stunning Sterling for the Holidays | AuctionNinja

There is just something spectacular about Sterling Silver!  Whether it is in the form of jewelry or a tabletop accessory, Sterling consistently stands the test of time. If you are in the market for something to adorn your holiday tables or a special gift for under the tree, consider the pieces currently offered by some of our AuctionNinjas.

For instance, in Trading Post NY's Old Field NY Single Owner (Part II) Auction closing on Thursday, November 16, there are quite a few sterling jewelry lots that would make lovely gifts for your discerning loved ones.  Some of our favorite from this auction include: at Art Deco "Best & Company" Signed Atomizer Necklace (seen below on the left); an unique Sterling and Wedgewood Basalt Cameo (below, top right); and a darling Victorian "Puffy Hearts" Sterling Charm Necklace (seen below, bottom right).

Alternatively, Clearing House Estate Sales has a multitude of silver lots in two upcoming auctions: Canaan CT Single Owner - Estate of Maria P Spaght closing this evening (November 8) and their Sandy Hook CT Single Owner closing November 13.  With a whole host of pieces that would make any holiday feast sparkle, our favorites include: a diminutive set of Twelve Sterling Silver 2.75" Plates weighing in at approximately 8.8 Troy Ounces total (below, top); a 60 Piece Reed and Barton Sterling Silver Flatware Service for 12 Set (below, middle left); a dramatic Pair of S. Kirk & Son Five-Arm Sterling Weighted Candelabras (below, middle right); an adorable set of 12 Sterling Tiffany & Co. Seashell Placecard Holders 1" High weighing in at approximately 3 Troy Ounces Total (below, bottom left); and a 9" diameter Black Start & Gorham Sterling Silver Bowl weighing in at approximately 14 Troy Ounces (below, bottom right).

Likewise, Waterbury Liquidators, has several quality sterling pieces in their November Estates Auction (Coming Soon).  Although the auction is not quite ready for bidding (yet), you can certainly peruse the offerings which include a couple of pairs of weighted sterling candlesticks and a group of 10 sterling and 800 silver spoons.  

Finally, rounding out the current offerings of sterling silver pieces is Black Rock Galleries with their Exceptional Fall Greenwich auction closing on November 15.  This amazing collection of jewelry, serviceware, and decorative silver is truly something to behold.  It was quite a chore to limite our favorites to only four.  Here they are: an amazing Faberge-style Guilloche and Sterling Mounted Brooch with Natural Pearl (shown below, top left); a pretty Sterling Silver Bangle Bracelet (below, top right); a stunning Tiffany Tray with Pie-Crust Edge (below, bottom left);  and finally, a simply irresistible Antique Reed & Barton Sterling Silver Serving Spoon and Fork "Love Disarmed" Pattern (below, bottom right).
