1959 Chris- Craft Ski Boat

This little wooden ski-boat gem needs some basic restoration work. According to the Vessel registration it is a 17.8 ft boat with a inboard gas motor. It boasts a 315 HP motor( not original motor)It has Chevy 5.7 throttle body engine. This is a PCM Pro ski engine. It has intact leather seats that need to be cleaned but in overall good condition. The canopy structure hardware is intact and the cloth canopy has been stored and is in good condition in a bin. There is some basic trim that needs to reattached and included in a box. This boat was last in the water five years ago. The engine has very clean oil in it. The owner started to do some of the restoration work like light sanding and such but then couldn't finish the job due to health issues. This is a collectors boat, and comes with a special book: "The Legend of Chris- Craft" Third edition Included in this lot is the boat trailer, a couple of adult life vests, and an anchor. The battery is stored under the front seat, and is being charged. Anchor, tool box and straps plus fire extinguisher under the rear seat The Hull number aka the Build # listed in the picture identifies the actual build and parts needed specific to this Chris Craft vessel. You can send away to Michigan Maritime Museum and request a specific parts list of all items that went into this particular build for the vessel. Basically each boat is unique! The boat trailer is a load rite trailer , with a working hitch, fully inflated tires with good treads, clean lug nuts on the rims and the wiring harness appears to be intact. Auction manager is happy to do a walk through with you on face time for any specific questions you may have, or schedule a mutually agreeable time for an in person viewing.
* Please note that the wood on the bottom of the boat and above and below water line has been mallet tested and has no soft , spongy spots, also tested at screw and wood layer lines.
FYI the propeller has been upgraded to an appropriate class to handle the upgraded motor for the ski boat.
