For your consideration is this LIMITED EDITION, RETIRED Danbury Mint "Twin Towers Commemorative" Sculpture. This collectible memorial was manufactured for only a short time. The towers measure 8 1/4" tall and the base is 9 1/2" wide from corner to corner. It is exceptionally well-detailed and commemorates the September 11th attacks. It includes the Twin Towers, the Marriott Hotel, the World Trade Center with its four international flags out front, and the gold sphere sculpture in the plaza. The shiny brass plaque reads: "We will not waver; we will not tire; we will not falter; and we will not fail. Peace and freedom will prevail." This quote is from the speech made by President George W Bush on October 7, 2001, the day of the first retaliatory strikes on al-Qaida and the Taliban in Afghanistan. This Commemorative memorial acknowledges the thousands who perished on that dreadful day and is a somber reminder for us and our children that we will truly "NEVER FORGET".
