Beautifully rendered by renowned wildlife illustrator Jacob Studer, this over-sized color Illustration of a Woodcock, Wood Threshes, Yellow- bellied Woodpecker, and a Scarlet Tanager exploring the forest floor and resting in a fallen tree. It retains its original color and fineness, even after 132+ years! Beautiful! The skill and passion of the illustrator is quite evident in overall composition, color, and his expert attention to factual anatomical detail.
