The Twa Dogs, a satirical poem by Scottish poet Robert Burns. The poem takes the form of a conversation between two dogs, Caesar and Luath. Luath, a 'ploughman's collie' is named after a dog Burns used to own.
Twas in that place o’ Scotland’s isle,
That bears the name o’ auld King Coil,
Upon a bonie day in June,
When wearin’ thro’ the afternoon,
Twa dogs, that were na thrang at hame,
Forgather’d ance upon a time.
