The Hermès Scarf, titled “Jonques et Sampans,” was first produced in 1966 by Françoise de la Perriere. The scarf features a colorful scene of sampans and jonques, which are small traditional boats used in Southeast Asia. The boats are depicted in shades of blue, green, and red and are surrounded by lush green vegetation and water. The scarf’s border is decorated with a thin band of gold.
The scarf is made of silk and measures approximately 33 inches by 35 inches. Although it is preowned, it is in good condition. The “Jonques et Sampans” scarf is a popular collector’s item and is often considered one of Hermès’s most iconic designs.
