VINTAGE STERLING SILVER SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS BY M. FRED HIRSCH, CIRCA 1920 - 45

Vintage pair of salt and pepper shakers, made by M. Fred Hirsch Co., Inc., Jersey City, New Jersey, circa 1920–45, weighted sterling silver in graceful paneled baluster form, each lid topped with a finial, approx. 5-1/8" tall, the total weight of the pair approx. 3.4 oz./95 g., the undersides marked "Sterling Weighted, [crown] [H] [shield], 554X."

Notes: Light surface wear and a hint of tarnishing, otherwise fine, attractive, beautifully preserved condition, with no bends, dents, or losses, and completely free of any corrosion (a common occurrence with sterling salt shakers)
