VINTAGE MID-CENTURY MODERN WOOL WALL HANGING BY FRANK LANE, 1970s

Fabulous vintage wall hanging by Frank Lane, circa 1970s, multicolored wool pile carpeting on wooden substrate, the three-dimensional raised and "sculpted" image depicting a stylized landscape with tree, moon, and mountains in tones of light blue, russet, sand/beige, and white, approx. 35" x 24" (oval), retaining the original descriptive label on the reverse.

A striking soft sculpture making dramatic, imaginative use of everyday materials. Though little is known of Lane, some sources identify him as having worked out of Ozark, Arkansas. A handsome accent or focal point for your mid-century modern or retro room.
