Superb and stunning antique American Brilliant Period cut glass bowl, possibly by Pairpoint, late 19th–early 20th century, of convex circular form, the rim with an alternating scallop-and-tooth edge, the exterior featuring deep allover cutting with flower, leaf, hobstar, buzzsaw/pinwheel, cane, crosshatch, and notched prism/zipper motifs, the bottom centered with a large eight-petaled flower with a leafy wreath, the overall dimensions approx. 8" in diameter by 3-3/4" tall.
A tour de force of the glass cutter's art, featuring skillful, precise cutting and exquisite detail, e.g., the delicate, carefully rendered veins in the flower petals that give them an almost feathery appearance, as well as the panels of tight, uniform crosshatching.
Notes: Usual rubbing to contact points of bottom, otherwise excellent condition, with no cracks or chips, retaining full, original brilliant clarity
