Lot of two scarce vases in the Monticello pattern (aka Waffle Block and No. 698) by the Imperial Glass Co., early-to-mid 20th century, one a rose bowl of slightly flattened spherical form, the other of cylindrical form with slightly flaring scalloped rim, both featuring the characteristic allover pattern of molded graduated blocks in deep relief, ground bases, the first approx. 4-1/2" tall, the second 6-1/4" tall.
Uncommon forms in this distinctive Imperial pattern. While most sources date Monticello to 1920–1960,some date it as early as 1905.
Notes: Usual rubbing to bases (small grinding irregularities original to manufacture), otherwise very fine condition, with no cracks or chips, retaining full, brilliant crystal clarity throughout, with no haze
