SCARCE VINTAGE GREEN IMITATION LEATHER WALL CLOCK BY JOWECO, GERMANY, CIRCA 1960s

Scarce vintage wall clock by Joweco (Johannes Weingarth & Co.), Germany, circa 1960s, green bonded leather, the circular face with pierced brass hands and gilt-stamped number markers, suspended from a strap, quartz movement running on one AA battery, approx. 8" in diameter, the face stamped "Joweco."

Joweco was a German manufacturer of leather goods in the mid-20th century. The present clock, with its distinctive purse- or handbag-like form, is quite rare; I was unable to locate a single other example from this maker.

Notes: Light surface wear (creasing to strap), otherwise fine, attractive, fully functional working condition
