Michael Wolff (German, late 20th century): "Bremerhaven Oberfeuer" [Bremerhaven Lighthouse], limited edition etching in sepia on heavy cream wove paper, 1982, monogrammed in the plate "MW," numbered and signed in pencil beneath the image "9/100, Michael Wolff 82," plate size approx. 7" x 5"; sheet size approx. 14-3/4" x 11-5/8", housed under glass in an attractive metal frame with brushed pewter finish measuring 15-1/8" x 12" overall.
Wolff is best known for his views of German architecture. The structure depicted, built in Bremerhaven, Germany from 1853 to 1855, is the oldest lighthouse still operating on Germany's North Sea coast.
