John Marshall Dyke (American, 20th–21st century): "42 Inches (Carousel Scene)," acrylic and glass beads on canvasboard, signed and titled on the reverse "J. Marshall Dyke, 42 Inches," retaining exhibition label, 9" x 12"; housed in a silver leaf frame measuring 11-3/8" x 14-3/8" overall.

Dyke, who lives and works in Hull, Massachusetts, studied at the Art Institute of Boston and later worked as a medical illustrator and teacher while maintaining his own painting studio. A member/exhibitor at several professional societies and associations, Dyke became a fixture in the South Shore art scene through yearly exhibitions at the Avon Public Library for more than 30 years.
