Frank Chadbourne (aka Francis H. Chadbourne; American, died 1967): "Square-Rigged Ship," watercolor, gouache, and pencil on paper, signed and dated at lower right, "Frank Chadbourne, 1931," sight size 13" x 9-3/4", housed under glass in the original mat and wooden frame measuring 18-3/4" x 14-3/4" overall.

Chadbourne, a 1924 graduate of Boston College, was a longtime art teacher in the public school system in Ipswich, Massachusetts.

Notes: Small spot to sky at upper right; usual uniform toning to mat; otherwise clean, fine, and attractive overall (not examined outside frame)
