Item Description

Scarce antique souvenir paperweight, "Excelsior Spring, Saratoga, New York," 1890s, glass with color photographic image depicting the small pavilion over the spring itself with a larger building behind, the pavilion with sign clearly reading "Excelsior Spring," the two longer sides of the glass decoratively engraved "Almus" and "1897."

An early view of the most famous of the springs that made Saratoga one of the most popular American resorts of its day.

Notes: In very fine, attractive condition, with no cracks or chips
