Here is a medal given to boy scouts in appreciation of their war bond sales. It measures 3-1/4 inches long overall, and consists of a 1-1/2 inch diameter medal suspended from a two rung ladder. The medal is not engraved or personalized. The medal was awarded in October 1917, the two rungs of the ladder, were awarded in 1918, one for selling a third and one for selling a fourth war bond. The top rung of the ladder had the pinback - which is now missing the pin. A jeweler can replace it. It has a beautiful natural unpolished patina. Winning bidder will receive the actual item pictured. Please review the photos for a complete description.
