Sam Savitt (1917–2000) was an equine artist, author, and teacher. He wrote 15 books, illustrated over 130 books by other authors, and his paintings have been widely reproduced and sold around the world. He was the official artist of the U.S. Equestrian Team and a founding member of the American Academy of Equine Art.
