These tapered urn shaped jars were used for storing olives / oil, with each country having their own version. They were mostly found in Spain and the Mediterranean countries of Italy and the Biot region of France. The overall condition is good, with general wear consistent with handmade pottery. It's a versatile, decorative piece for the garden, by the fireplace or just a nice home decor accent piece. Contents included.
