Item Description

This is an amazing vintage professional drafting desk from the 1950's made by the Mayline Company in Sheboygan, WI. This includes a large steel desk base with one drawer and large open storage cubbie, a side attachment has power plugs, a front pedal releases a mechanism to adjust the desk to preferred height. There is another lever to adjust the angle of the tabletop. It includes a very large desk top with a substantial lower pencil tray in well used condition - it is scratched and scuffed but still is very solid. This lot also includes an aluminum guide system for precise angles and measurements that attaches to the desktop. Made by Mutoh and it is labeled "S. Made in Japan, model S". All parts of this desk are substantial and extremely well made and would be awesome for anyone in the drafting or artistic fields. We do not have the bolts to attach the desk top so we are not able to get pictures of that (easily found at any hardware store). The height adjustment moves up and down smoothly. We found versions on this online without the power plug attachment or the drafting tools for $300-500! Don't miss this fantastic and versatile desk! Adjustable lamp sold separately in this auction is a perfect accompaniment to this desk!
