Spartus Press Flash Camera
The Press Flash camera was manufactured by the Spartus Corporation of Chicago, Illinois, in circa 1939. It was constructed of black bake-lite (plastic) with a unique art deco style. Advertised as the only camera with a built-in reflector, that is electrically operated from flashlight batteries for perfect pictures under any lighting conditions. It was capable of capturing eight 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch sized exposures on number 120 roll film. It was fitted with a fixed focus lens and the shutter had two shutter positions, the first for regular photos and the other for light exposure using the flash. historiccamera.com
Kodak Baby Brownie Special
The Baby Brownie Special Camera was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company from 1939 to 1954. Constructed of glossy black molded Bakelite, with art deco styling. This box camera took 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 inch exposures on 127 film. The special featured a built-in optical view finder, an improved access for film reloading and a carry handle. Included a fixed focus, meniscus lens and rotary shutter for instantaneous exposures only. historiccamera.com
Kodak Brownie Holiday Flash Camera
The Brownie Holiday Flash Camera was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak company from 1953 to 1962. The camera was constructed of molded plastic body with a built-in view finder. This model was also produced with a non-synchronized flash called the Brownie Holiday. The camera was capable of capturing 1 5/8 X 2 1/2 inch exposures on standard no. 127 roll film. It was fitted with Kodet lens until 1955 then was fitted with a Dakon plastic lens. It housed a simple snapshot rotary shutter.
