Signed Painting On Board "Man W/ Gray And White Shadows" Dec.1978/Jan.1979

here is the story. . . . .her mother bought two paintings from the same artist . . . she bought them from the artist himself . . . in January of 1979 (looks like he started the painting in December of 1978 and finished in January of 1979). . .when she met the artist . . . apparently the guy was painting OUTSIDE (in the winter) wearing shorts and a t-shirt) at something like 11pm at night . . . she was walking on Carmine Street in Greenwich Village . . .and here he was painting in the cold dressed in shorts and a t-shirt . . . .with a few paintings for sale. . . . . . .ahhhhh NYC / Greenwich Village in the 1970's . . .I so wish I knew his name (I cannot make out signature). . . . . . . god only knows. . . . . . . . both paintings are signed (illegibly) . . . .(I wish I knew who the artist was . . .maybe im selling something worth a fortune here). . . . .the other painting is in this same auction (woman on tightrope). . . .this one is says on the back that it was painted between Dec 1978-Jan 1979 - both painted on luan board / wood. . . .UNFRAMED and board in bowed a bit (framing would fix it). . . . this one measures 40" x 26 1/2" - expect, flaws, chips, dings, bumps, scrapes, cracks, . .BUT NOTHING terrible. . . . . this lot is Part 2 of the beautiful estate sale in Westport,CT. like Part 1 . .this sale features MANY lovely items (please see our other 89 lots in this sale). we were going to do an estate sale at the actual condo but its was in a private gated community that does not allow any type of tag / estate sale. PICKUP IS AT OUR WAREHOUSE IN NORWALK,CT.
