Item Description

Miram Tindall Smith (1901 - 1984) was a Philadelphia artist and sculptor, born in Norwood, Pennsylvania who studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Arts, now known as the University of the Arts and with Arthur B. Carles. She exhibited regularly throughout the 1930’s-1950’s at the Philadelphia Sketch Club, the Woodmere Art Museum, The Reading Public Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as well as the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Society of Independent Artists. She also had a solo exhibition at the Allentown Art Museum in 1955.
