HESHI YU (1935- ) Yu's original style of painting is well known and widely sought for its abstract beauty. His work successfully combines geometric and figurative images in the artist's own innovative manner, creating a new dimension of visual, as well as emotional pleasure, portraying a happy beautiful world, peaceful and serene. Through the concept to modern painting, Yu blends the fine art's tradition of Chinese and Western. As creator of this unique style he became one of the most attentive Chinese painters active in New York art world. One of his works of 1970s was selected by Lincoln Center to make a serigraph to celebrate the bicentenary of America. Many of his works are included in important private collections and galleries throughout the world.
