Dan Ryczek's High School Letterman Jacket -- Mentor High, Class Of 1967

Dan Ryczek graduated from Mentor High in 1967, having been a leader on the football team AND the baseball team. He went to the University of Virginia. Drafted in the 13th round of the 1971 NFL draft by the Washington Redskins, where he retained his high school number (#51.) He then played for the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, before retiring from the Los Angeles Rams in 1979 (where he also had his same number, #51.)

You can see in the second photo, there's a small hole between the pocket and the placket. Otherwise, it's in excellent condition for something that is over 50 years old!

Provenance: I bought this in Mentor at a consignment shop in about 1995 or so. I poured through the 1967 yearbook at Mentor High to figure out how many DANs there were in the class of 1967. There were two or three. But there was only one who was on the football team... It may not show very well in the photos, but in the third picture, I can see the stitching shadows of two football patches that were removed before I bought the jacket.

Consistent with age and use.
