Incredible Pair Egyptian Revival Lamps W/Mica Shades - C.1920's / 1930's

ITS AMAZES me that these lamps are still in existence . . . .only because EVERY PART IS SO FRAGILE. . . . the bases are terracotta . . . .the shades are mica . . . .two VERY brittle substances. . . .ONE shade is as-is (can easily be turned to the back out of view - see photo). . . with terracotta "cap" its a wonder nothing ever broke or hit the floor is 70+ years . . . . . .they need to be rewired. . . .it looks like someone started to fix them (new expensive looking sockets) but original cloth covered wires are there but cut off). . . . .sold AS-IS. . .bumps, chips, scrapes, dings, chips, flaws . . . .GOOD SIZE . . . . .with shades they measure 20" High - 5 1/2 across - this lot is Part 2 of the beautiful estate sale in Westport,CT. like Part 1 . .this sale features MANY lovely items (please see our other 89 lots in this sale). we were going to do an estate sale at the actual condo but its was in a private gated community that does not allow any type of tag / estate sale.
