Very unusual ballot box, complete with marbles.

Once used in a union or a fraternity or a lodge to determine whether or not a candidate had enough support to be admitted as a member. It was a secret ballot, and if, by the end of the vote, a single BLACK marble was dropped through the hole, the candidate would be blackballed and denied membership.

An older model, great details, clever design.
