Gail Chandler “Sattui Winery” pencil signed watercolor print with rustic wooden frame.

Napa Valley painter Gail Chandler is a self-taught artist who launched directly into a successful art career in 2003. At that time she focused on the beauty of the Napa Valley landmarks in watercolor. At the gallery's urging she began painting in oil in 2011 In Chandlers’ oils she attempts to trigger a memory, a giggle and maybe even bring out the mischievously naughty side of all of us. Chandler finds he humor in life and translates it remarkably well through her paintings. Chandler’s paintings match her quirky side. One could argue that her missed calling in life could have been stand up comedy. With Chandler’s work, here are things that are implied but not explicit. Chandler is pushing the boundaries of contemporary realism with every stroke of the brush.

“I have been in love with the Napa Valley since I first visited here in 1982. I moved heaven and earth to re-locate here in 1993, and thank my lucky stars every day that I live and work in this wonderful place. The incredible architecture and views of the valley have always delighted me. When I paint these places, I feel as if I am a part of them. This was framed at Dryden Gallery in New York City.
Frame measures 10x13” and it’s in good ready to hang condition with wire.

You park in any of the lots near Crown and Hammer restaurant and look for the big brick building behind the restaurant. Go to the double doors all the way to the left where it says “30” and “50” on doors. Enter and follows signs to us. We are on the main level between Luna & Lotus yoga studio and Collinsville T Shirt Company. If you have large items, we will reach out before you come to explain where to meet.
