1919 Post WWI All Silk Lot 4 Embroidered Hankies- Patriotic Theme Pouch - Silk Apron.
A year after the first world war, items are dated from the year 1919. Fabulous all silk hand embroidered Flag Patriotic Theme Carrying pouch that features a dough boy on the inside, the American Flag, and the front folds over with hand stitched embroidery. The 4 hankies were found in this pouch as was the apron. Two of the hankies are embroidered with the year 1919; one is a souvenir from Paris. The other 2 embroidered " To my dear sister". The silk apron is very delicate with the original ribbon for waist tie, but the neck ribbon ties are missing. Beautiful floral embroidery on bottom. Items definitely need to be cleaned but the delicacy and hand crafting of these items is something to be admired.

Consistent with age and use.
