In the coming days and weeks, you will notice some changes and upgrades on AuctionNinja.com. These updates are designed to improve your overall experience and are inclusive of some bidder wish-list requests.

KEY CHANGES YOU'LL NOTICE

Updated Look

The first thing you'll notice is an updated layout to the overall site. This includes new item categories, "hot items," and multiple pathways into the marketplace from the homepage.

Better Mobile Experience

If you visit our site on a mobile device, you will see an enhanced front-end that is optimized for mobile. This includes left-right scrolling, better pull-down menus, and easier to use mobile filters.

Better Overall  User "Journey"

You will be able to find the items and information you seek faster and more easily. We've streamlined the number of clicks to get to the things you want.

Searchable Categories

One of the most requested upgrades our bidders have asked for are better search capabilities, including categories. AuctionNinja will soon introduce searchable categories. Categories include furniture, housewares, jewelry, fashion and accessories, coins and stamps, lighting, decorative arts, sterling silver, motor vehicles, and more.

Enhanced Filters & Searches

Keyword Search -- You will notice that if you begin typing a keyword in a search bar, you may see clickable suggestions. For example, if you begin typing CH, you may see suggestions such as Chair, Chaise, Chain, Chicago, Chattanooga, etc. populate just below the search bar. You can either continue typing your keyword or select one of the suggested keywords to speed-up your search.

In Search Filtering -- once you've entered your keyword search, you will be able to further filter those searches with distance and/or type of sale filtering.

Updated Auction Details Pages

When you view an auction details page, in addition to the important information the seller provides (closing dates, pick-up times, location, terms and conditions, etc.) you may see catalog highlights, trending or "hot" items, among others. You can also perform keyword searches within a specific sale.

Streamlined Sellers' Pages

You may also notice some slight design changes to the main profile pages for sellers. You'll be able to access the seller's sales (Current Auctions and Closed Auctions), About, easily see Reviews/Ratings, and their Contact information. Other details, such as the seller's Terms and Conditions and/or Services (among others) may be found in the More Informationtab.

Marketplace Access on the Homepage

You may notice that the Marketplace tab is no longer on the homepage navigation. Since very few users actually used that pathway to the Marketplace, we got rid of it. Instead, we added multiple entry points to the Marketplace directly on the homepage. You can also access the Marketplace by clicking on any of the various View Auctions buttons interspersed throughout the homepage. Where?

• Find an Auction in the banner allows you to enter your state or zip code which will direct you to the Marketplace. You may adjust your radius using the sliding distance bar. Alternatively, you can click the Use My Current Location button (also in the banner). 
• Likewise, View All Auctions in the Featured Auctions section of the homepage will also open the Marketplace page for you. 
• Further down the homepage, you'll see an Auctions Near Me box with a View Auctions button in it. That will also get you to the Marketplace.
• Lastly, you'll see an Auctions Closing Soon section which features a View All Auctions Closing Soon button that directs users to the Marketplace.

WHAT IS NOT CHANGING

Bidding: Our system updates and changes changes will not affect the way you bid in any of the seller's auctions themselves. You will still be able to follow items, receive text reminders of item closings, and bid as before.
