Item Description

Group of tableware in the Script pattern designed by Raymond Loewy for Rosenthal-Continental China, West Germany, 1961–1964, including five 10-1/2" dinner plates, four 6" bread plates, and three cup and saucer sets, each piece fully signed. (Note that only one of each is shown.)

Loewy (1893–1986), one of the foremost and influential industrial designers of his era, produced such iconic designs as the Lucky Strike cigarette package, the Greyhouse Scenicruiser, the interior of the Concorde, and corporate logos for Exxon, Shell, BP, TWA, Nabisco, and scores of others.

CONDITION: In very fine, attractive condition, with no cracks, chips, or dulling
