LEGO Grand Emporium A

The store is open with this building set from LEGO. The LEGO Grand Emporium is a three-story building designed in a realistic scale with lots of special building techniques and unique pieces. This structure is made to be at the corner of an intersection. Its sides are angled for attaching additional structures. It is part of the LEGO Group Modular Buildings collection, and it features an ornate front wall. The Creator Modular Building is decorated on the front with four flags. The models also have big front windows that you can see through. Above the windows are curved awnings just like a real department store would have. Over the revolving doors, there is a welcoming sign that says, "Shop."The intricate, brick-tile design makes this big shopping center look like a regal destination. Enter through the revolving doors, and start your shopping on the ground-floor clothing department. The shopping minifigures carry baskets that hold the goods they want to buy. Each level of this set is built upon its own base piece. The interior floor plan of this set provides plenty of room for the seven included figures to walk around. There is also enough space to accommodate other accessories and figures inside of the store.Take notice of the cash register, fitting room, hats, jewelry, perfume, and even a selection of spare trousers. The LEGO Grand Emporium includes bricks to be used as mannequins to highlight the fun accessory pieces. Ride the escalator to the second level where you can find the housewares department complete with glassware and golden plates. Continue up to the top floor for the toy department that has a toy house to play with and a push-scooter. The chandelier features a creative use of a variety of bricks in an upside-down configuration.The fun isn't just on the inside of this department store. Outside on the street, citizens carry shopping bags, put letters into the mailbox, and look through the windows into the store. All of this happens while a busy window washer works above their heads. These original Modulars come together to make a great bustling Main Street for your LEGO city. You can set up the Grand Emporium next to other structures such as a grocer, cafe, and pet shop. Place it across the street from the fire brigade and town hall for a realistic town center. The Grand Emporium also works well as a standalone set. It comes with a large base plate so that you can pick it up and move it around with ease.This classic LEGO Creator Grand Emporium measures 15 inches tall, 10 inches wide, and 6 inches deep. It weighs about 5 pounds. You can build the LEGO Grand Emporium one bag at a time. This box includes 10 labeled and sealed bags. The detailed instructions walk you through the store's construction step by step. The instructions also include pictures as well as counts of each piece type. This series is designed for people ages 16 and older.
