Shipping & Handling
Not all items are available for shipping. Please refer to each individual item listing to see if the item you are interested in is available for shipping. If you require shipping for an item(s), there will be a $7.95 handling fee along with shipping fees. All shipments are fully insured.
To arrange shipping, please contact us with your name, mailing address, and the auction name Click here. We will send you an invoice for shipping through Vermont Proper Auction House. Once the shipping fee is paid, we will provide tracking information, and your item will be shipped.

Use of the Site
Your use of this Site is subject to these Terms of Use. By completing and submitting your registration, you agree to receive email communications from us. Maintaining your membership on this Site requires your continued consent to receive these emails.
Additionally, you authorize Vermont Proper Auction House to charge the credit or debit card you have provided for the hammer price of any item for which you are the highest bidder, along with the buyer’s premium and any applicable sales tax. Your card will be charged within 24 hours of the auction’s conclusion. Failure to maintain valid credit card information on file may result in the termination of your access to the Site.
To enable bidding privileges, a $1.00 pre-authorization transaction will appear on your statement. This is a temporary hold that will not be processed and will automatically be removed within 5–7 business days (with American Express and Discover potentially taking longer).
By using this Site, you certify that you are an authorized user of the credit card provided and agree not to dispute any purchase payments, as long as the transactions adhere to the terms outlined in this authorization.
Buyer’s Contract
By placing a bid on the Vermont Proper Auction House website, you enter into a binding contract and agree to pay all amounts due, including the sale price, buyer’s premium, and any applicable taxes.
Please do not bid if you are unable to make payment or take possession of items within the specified time frame for each auction, sale, or event. Any items won and not paid for within 24 hours of the auction’s close may be offered to the next highest bidder.
All sales are final—no returns, credits, or exchanges.
Item Descriptions
While Vermont Proper Auction House strives to disclose any damage, repairs, or restorations, the absence of such details does not imply that an item is in perfect condition. Most items offered are antique, vintage, or pre-owned, and signs of wear consistent with age should be expected.
Preview inspections are available to allow for personal evaluation before placing bids. Condition reports may also be available upon request.
All items are sold as-is, where-is. All sales are final—no returns, credits, or exchanges.
Sales Tax
All sales are subject to applicable sales tax laws. Buyers who are tax-exempt must submit a valid state sales tax exemption certificate before the sale concludes. Once Vermont Proper Auction House receives and verifies this information, future purchases will be tax-exempt.
Tax resale forms can be uploaded through your membership profile. Please ensure that the name and address on your profile match those on your resale certificate.
Buyer’s Premium
An 18% buyer’s premium will be added to the hammer price of all auction purchases. This amount, along with the hammer price and any applicable sales tax, will be charged to the credit or debit card on file with Vermont Proper Auction House within 24 hours of the auction’s conclusion.
Retention of Credit Card Information
By providing your credit card information to Vermont Proper Auction House, you authorize the company to charge your card for the total purchase amount of any successful bid, including the buyer’s premium and applicable taxes. Your card will be charged within 24 hours of the auction’s conclusion. Failure to maintain valid credit card information on file may result in the termination of your site access.

Pick-Up & Removal
Successful buyers are required to pick up their items at the designated sale location within the time frame specified on the sale details page.
If you are unable to pick up your items during the scheduled removal times, you must contact Vermont Proper Auction House at least 24 hours before the pick-up date. We will assess whether alternate arrangements can be made. Any alternative arrangements will be at the sole discretion of Vermont Proper Auction House and may be subject to transport, labor, and/or storage fees.
Forfeiture of Items
Any items that are not paid for and/or not picked up during the specified pick-up time, as outlined in the Site’s Terms & Conditions, will be forfeited by you. At its sole discretion, Vermont Proper Auction House may either re-offer the items for sale or donate them to a charity of its choosing.
Vermont Proper Auction House reserves the right to report your account to collections for the total amount of the original invoice, along with any moving or disposal charges. If your membership is revoked due to non-payment, it can only be reinstated once all past due invoices and additional charges are paid in full.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit, or create derivative works from any content or materials on the Site. Using the Site's content for any purpose not expressly permitted in these Terms of Use is strictly prohibited.
You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to reduce the Site to a human-perceivable form, except as expressly permitted by applicable law. If permitted by law, such activities can only be conducted if you notify us in writing in advance.
Additionally, you may not copy, frame, enclose, or otherwise distribute any part of the Site.
