About Us

While THG Auctions is relatively new, our principals have been around the auction, consignment and real estate business for quite a while.   We bring a friendly, informative and collaborative approach to the process to make sure you're comfortable every step of the way.

Our mission is to make your auction or estate settlement as easy and seamless as possible.

Here is our 6 step Auction Services Plan:

Step 1:

Contact our office to schedule a consultation and item review - this is complimentary and you are under no obligation to proceed further. The office number is 860.200.0059 or you can fill out the contact form and we'll get back to you typically within 24 business hours.  


Step 2: 

If you choose to work with us, we will execute an agreement and our team will inventory your items, photograph them and load them onto our site, preparing for auction day.


Step 3:

We will begin marketing the auction to our own database as well as to a network of auctions that we are connect with.     Marketing is typically done for 7-14 days prior to the date of the auction. 


Step 4:

Auction Day. Most items begin with a starting bid of $1, but the real 'auction frenzy' happens in the last 60-90 minutes on most items. We can place a minimum bid on specialty items.


Step 5:

Once the auction has closed, we begin to arrange the items/lots for pick-up on the designated day.  Our staff will handle the staging, distribution to the winning bidders and clean-up of any areas that we used to manage the process.


Step 6:

THG Auctions handles the processing of all payments.  A settlement check along with a full accounting will be provided to you within 21 days after the auction date.


Deciding to auction your items is an important decision. The most important thing that you can do is hire a company that you feel comfortable working with.  Ask questions, make sure that you've had the process explained and that the agreement you sign covers all of the things that you've talked about and been promised.
