ANTIQUE ANSONIA 'NEWTON' SPELTER STATUE Bronze Mantel Clock - HEAVY - EXQUISITE DESIGN - WORKS!! Original key included!
Antique Figural Cast Iron and Spelter mantel clock. This clock has a seated Spelter Figure of Newton beside a bookcase looking at a globe in his lap. There is an inkwell on the bookstand with a feather quill pen. The clock tower has a very fancy relief design and a double handle urn like finial and an ornate drop handle at the side. This is an open escapement clock with a porcelain dial. Signed Ansonia movement with patent date of June 13, 1882.
Measurements: H: 14" / L: 17" / W: 7"
Condition: Good Condition; Key included; Natural scratching & fading of bronze due to years of use; Please note this home is inhabited by two lovely cats so expect to see some cat hair on soft surfaced items; Items may be dirty or very dusty and need cleaning; Wood or glass may have some chips, cracks or damage throughout due to years of use; Please see pictures
