Diameter - 37 mm (A Morgan silver dollar is 38.1 mm)
Obverse image - Head to the right of Louis-Philippe I wearing an oak crown, one of the ends of the ribbon which ties it behind the head returns to the lower part of the neck; signed DOMARD. F. below the neck against the rim.
Reverse image - in two lines, above the vintage, the whole in a wreath tied with a ribbon at its base, formed on the left of a laurel branch, on the right of an olive branch; below the node the different of General Engraver framed by the different of Director on the left and the mint letter on the right.
Obverse Legend - "Louis Phillipe I Roi Dey Francais"
Edge Legend (in relief) - "DIEU PROTEGE LA FRANCE" (God Protect France)
Not just an excellent world coin for a collection but a historical coin 3 years before the French Revolution and during the time of Alexandre Dumas. Nice silver coin in great condition!
