UK 1973 Fifty Pence piece - mint condition proof
In original royal mint packaging - commemorative coin
Condition - Uncirculated bright coin
Equilateral curve heptagon (7-sided)

Denomination below date surrounded by circle of nine hands, symbolising the nine members of the EEC, clasping one another in a mutual gesture of trust, assistance and friendship.

Issued to commemorate the United Kingdom joining the European Economic Community which at the time had 9 members, the coin was the first commemorative 50p struck for circulation.
