A colorful cubist Lithograph signed in the plate, entitled: "Violin Melodie" was painted in 1914 by GEORGE BRAQUE and the litho done in 1960 by HENRI DESCHAMPS, 3 years before Braque's death. Braque 1882-1963, was a Fauvist painter along with the likes of Andre Derian but is perhaps best known for his collaboration with Pablo Picasso in 1908 to 1912, in developing Cubism. (Another print of Violin Melodie from the same genre is currently being offered for sale in New York for $1850).
