About our client:
This estate has a fantastic story to tell. Our client’s mother joined the Belgian resistance at the age of 17 and eventually became a decorated war heroine. During the war she met her future husband, and our client was born in Belgium. Starting her love of European Antiques!
Our client grew up in a mining camp outside of Park City, Utah, where her father was a mining engineer. She attended high school in Salt Lake City, graduated from the University of Utah and started her own family. Our client and her husband amassed a collection of fine art and antiques, always true to her European roots and her eye for style and elegance.
In the meantime, her mother, who taught kindergarten for over 30 years, took on a new career, in the diamond business. She became a the only female member of the Diamond Club in New York at the time.
Our client has a special interest in Luigi Kasimir (1881-1962)— an Austro-Hungarian born etcher, printer and landscape artist. She has amassed an impressive collection of his etchings and was truly devoted to his artisty.
She was also a dedicated collector of the contemporary artist Scott Switzer- who’s impressionist & abstract style and gestural brush strokes evoke both a joyous and whimsical response in the viewer.
She has many pieces of superb antique European art, including 18th century masterful paintings, fine sterling silver, sculpture, and so much more.
We are so honored to bring you her estate!
