About The Artist: Elaine Johnson began painting as an adult, as a hobby, and this grew into a career and passion. Her work is comprised of Hudson River scenes, landscapes, and pastoral or architectural scenes. Elaine began painting in the mid-1960's and continued throughout her life. Exhibitions have taken place throughout the Hudson Valley, notably at the Mount Gulian Society Beacon's Verplank House.
